Last week, the Embassy of Canada to Senegal met with the Université de Montréal’s Vice-Dean for Research & International Affairs and a Faculty of Law representative. Discussions focused on sustainable partnerships, training programs and stronger academic collaboration.
On May 8, 2026, the Canadian Ambassador and the Minister of the Environment Senegal launched the COPEJ project, led by Le Cégep de la Gaspésie et des Îles. This initiative provides concrete support for training young people, creating jobs, and restoring biodiversity in Senegal.
