URGENT UPDATE: Illegally detained Sumud volunteers are now on their 4th day of a dry hunger strike (no food, no water) and their condition is critical.
Since Monday, ten people detained in Benghazi have been refusing food, with many also refusing water, in protest of prolonged illegal detention, mistreatment, and being denied legal counsel. Some have been forced to break the strike, but many continue as their health deteriorates.
Their lives are at risk. They’ve received no medical care and are being held in “black sites" (unknown areas).
We demand their immediate release and we need you to act now.
Call. Post. Pressure the authorities. Share this update widely.

Palestinians mark 59 years for the turning point in history called the Naksa, in which Israel expanded its occupation across the rest of historic Palestine and forced the displacement of more than 300,000 Palestinians.
The Naksa was not the beginning, but a continuation of the ongoing dispossession that started with the Nakba in 1948.and persists untill today.
Today, the Gaza Strip turns into a big displacement camp as endures genocide and the West Bank faces escalating ethnic cleansing and settlement.

78 years ago, Jewish militias attacked and destroyed towns across historic Palestine during the beginning of the Nakba, meaning "catastrophe" in Arabic. In 1948, their actions forced nearly 75% of the Palestinian population to flee, tearing families apart and devastating entire communities.
The Nakba didn’t end in 1948 — it continues to this day.

Today marks 78 years since the Nakba, the mass displacement of indigenous Palestinians that accompanied the establishment of Israel in 1948.
During the war that followed, around 750,000 Palestinians, the majority of the Palestinian population at the time, were forced to flee or were expelled from their towns and villages.
The event remains one of the most defining and painful chapters in Palestinian history.
Today marks the 78th anniversary of the first Palestinian Nakba, in which hundreds of thousands of Palestinians were forcibly removed from their homeland.
Some 700,000 Palestinians, a majority of the pre-war population, fled or were driven from their homes before and during the 1948 Arab-Israeli war that followed the establishment of "Israel".
