@DanKnightMMA Conservatives voted for a conservative leader. Let the libtard scum show themselves out. Imagine that a conservative party led by a real conservative, elected by real Conservatives. Do not fold because of these plastic Conservatives.
Harriet Cowan was running a thousand acres of Clarkson's Farm on television while working as an NHS nurse, and it took a television contract to get her farming full time.
She turned up in series four as Kaleb's stand-in, 24, from Derbyshire, false eyelashes on for the tractor, and ran the place while he was away on tour. The papers called her a TikTok farmer. Clarkson called her brilliant. Almost nobody asked the obvious question, which is why a third-generation farmer was on the wards.
Her father runs the family farm. Her mother is a nurse. She grew up on the farm, learned the machinery on it, went to Derby to train, and did both.
Read that as the accounts, because it is.
- A livestock farm in Derbyshire, three generations, family owned
- One daughter, qualified, competent, wanting nothing more than to farm it
- Wage the farm could pay her on top of everyone already on it: nothing
- Wage the NHS paid her: a nurse's
- The thing that finally let her farm full time: a television series
She left nursing in 2026, a year after the show went out. She now presents on Channel 4 and is looking to buy a smallholding of her own.
That is the bit nobody prints. The only thing that has ever paid a young British farmer enough to farm is a camera. Kaleb is a millionaire because Amazon filmed him. Harriet left the wards because Amazon filmed her. Every young farmer without a production company is on somebody else's payroll, and the average age at the farm gate keeps climbing.
She was named her town's Young Farmers spokesperson before any of this. She was loud in the inheritance tax protests. She has spent her adult life doing 2 jobs to be near the one she was raised for.
A country that cannot pay its farmers' daughters to farm does not have a succession plan. It has a waiting list for the next television series.
🚨 Sec. Scott Bessent is MIC DROPPING Canada PM Mark Carney! This man never misses.
"We've had a FREE RIDER problem with Canada. And PM Carney, after getting a verbal BEATDOWN from myself and Hegseth, said: 'Stop throwing shade to get negotiations?' Well, HE'S the one who said WE'RE AT WAR!"
"Canada had a great military. They were right there at the forefront on the beaches of D-Day, and what the Canadian government has done to the Canadian Armed Forces, if you look at the ranks of NATO spending, they are near the very BOTTOM, like they're cellar dwellers around with Spain in terms of their military spending to GDP!"
"And why is that? Because they were free riding."
"The Canadian businesses are not with the Prime Minister, the Canadian military is not with the Prime Minister."
"And, you know, he thinks that he got to office on an anti-Trump, anti-Americans, the platform, and it's not going to work out in the long term."
🔥🔥🔥
SPOTIFY JUST WON ME OVER.
You can actually go to an artist’s page, hit the three dots, and select:
“Don’t play this artist.”
That’s it. Problem solved.
No endless thumbs-downs. No hoping the algorithm finally gets the hint.
Pandora needs this feature yesterday.
Jelly Roll just got permanently escorted out of my speakers. 😂
@NVanCaroline You lost the leadership vote. KLF won. If you truly are conservative then maybe you should be supporting the leader whole heartedly and act accordingly.
Troll level - Expert.
I’m not sure I’ll be able to handle the next round of our media’s heads exploding with anger over this one.
I so hope Doug Ford doesn’t bite on this one & keeps what’s left of his composure.
THE NDP AND LIBERALS ARE DEATHLY AFRAID OF KERRY-LYNNE FINDLAY.
She is standing in their way of surrendering B.C. and is the only leader who can:
Defeat David Eby
Reverse the massive land transfers
Turn B.C. Blue….
The old establishment is up to its dirty tricks again and wants to destroy the grassroots movement.
Kerry-Lynne Findlay was the first democratically elected leader of the B.C. Conservatives chosen by party members.
Those members rejected the old B.C. Liberal/B.C. United.
They rejected insider politics.
They rejected the watered-down, NDP-adjacent brand that British Columbians had already turned away from.
That old establishment wants its party back.
The members said NO.
And that is why this fight matters.
Because if Findlay succeeds, the entire political map in British Columbia changes.
The NDP knows it.
The Liberals know it.
And the old backroom establishment knows it too.
They are not afraid she will fail.
They are afraid she will win.
Did you know that Carney’s negotiators repeatedly brought up the Liberal party polling during tariff relief talks?
Mentioning: “if we do this, we’ll go down 5 points”, etc…
What’s actually driving the negotiating position? not the national interest, but the next election.
Rumour has it Carney is planning on calling a snap election to consolidate his power some more while this strategy of suffering for the people and saviour complex for him pays off.
Canada’s Prime Minister says: “We cannot trust America.”
Meanwhile, his wife lives in the United States, all four of his children live and study in the United States, 91% of his investment portfolio is reportedly tied to the United States, and he owns a home in the United States.
Yet he tells Canadians they can’t trust America.
Hypocrisy at its finest.
@TomEngel18 Oh yes, god forbid at least one sensible premier suggest on going talks. Probably better off to suggesting Trump to kiss his ass like Ford. Retards everywhere in this country!
@GeraldoRivera Means nothing. Modern day Canada has a tiny force and the reason for that is because we have allowed our military to fall apart and rely solely on the US to defend us, much like the rest of the western world. We are in the found out stage of FAFO.
Nine thoughts on Alberta after the trade rupture:
1 - What has occurred is an existential threat to Alberta and Canada.
2 - Far too many Canadians still seem convinced that everything will somehow return to normal.
They do not understand what has changed.
3 - Canada is in the process of failing.
We are in FAFO territory.
4 - #AlbertaIndependence is no longer an abstract constitutional argument.
It is becoming a question of economic survival and control over our own future.
5 - The federal government’s actions are unconscionable. If this confrontation continues escalating, the economic and human consequences could be enormous.
6 - Canadians, especially working-class Canadians, are going to bear the consequences through jobs, prices, investment and purchasing power while much of the Laurentian political and institutional elite remains insulated from the damage.
7 - Canada now faces a fundamental question about what the country is actually for.
If a federation cannot protect the economic interests of its constituent regions, cannot maintain stable access to its overwhelmingly largest market, and cannot reconcile profoundly different regional interests, then the legitimacy of the arrangement deserves serious examination.
8 - Alberta must immediately start acting like a jurisdiction responsible for its own survival.
Open direct channels with American governors, legislators, industry and the administration.
Use every lawful power Alberta possesses to defend Alberta’s interests.
The old system is failing. Alberta cannot simply wait for Ottawa to save us.
It’s sink or swim.
9 - Albertans need to prepare for #AlbertaIndependence.
Not someday. Now.
We need to build the institutions, relationships, infrastructure, fiscal strength and public support required for Alberta to determine its own future.
Alberta must be prepared to secure its own future.
@nenshi Smith is the only sane premier in Canada! If Alberta separates every sane Canadian that can will be moving to the free Country of Alberta and every leftist elbows up mongoloid will run to Carneyville Canada!
My source sharing with me: “we’re done with Canada” last night checks out.
If you’re a Canadian who spends one more second complaining about Trump on social media instead of aggressively building and outcompeting—I just don’t really care what you have to say at this point.
Trumps fault? Who cares.
He started it? Who cares.
We don’t need them? Prove it with your actions.
Every second spent whining about how unpredictable and mean he is, is a moment spent away from doing what you’ve been saying you’re going to do for the last 18 months.
You made your choice, Trump has responded with his, time to work.
@SqueezyMoto Every move Carney makes is to bolster his portfolio as well as Brookfields investments. As soon as hes destroyed the country hes gone. Man with many passpor .
@catturd2 Elections are over in this country by the time the polls close in Ontario. Ontario and Quebec hold 200 of the 343 seats in the house of Commons. Western Canada subsidies the rest of Canada. The government spends that money in Ontario and Quebec. That's Canada. A fucking joke!
