Hot take: I actually do not care if someone mentions their a streamer or that they stream in my chat.

“My day was good, I’m gonna stream later” Awesome, what games are you gonna play!?

“I’m starting out my streaming career, any advice?” Wow, good for you! Streaming can be really intimidating. Depending on what advice you need, maybe I could help!

“I streamed this (insert game) today and it was so fun” Omg, I’ve heard about that game! It sounds so fun, I’m glad you enjoyed yourself!

Majority of people just converse with you. If a first time chatter comes in and says “hey I’m starting stream now, hey I’m streaming, hey will you shout me out”…obviously that’s different. They clearly don’t care about you, or your community. For the most part though, people just want to be heard. We all do.
