Seeing you walk ahead of us with the number 10 shirt and the captain’s armband made us feel like you were protecting us, and that no matter what happened, there was someone up front who would give everything for us.

In 2022, what won Scaloni the World Cup was moving on from the hierarchy and making some very big calls.

Enzo and Mac Allister were never starters going into that World Cup, but after that Saudi Arabia game, big calls were made, and Argentina wouldn’t have won the World Cup without it.

Yet, four years on, when it’s time to make similarly brave calls, he simply refuses to do so, and I cannot bring myself to understand it.

Ok, fine, you don’t want to start with the likes of Paz and Simeone. It is what it is. But for them to get ZERO minutes off the bench, when this side is in dire need of dynamism everytime Messi isn’t on the ball? It’s inexcusable.

No width, no legs, no pace. It’s Messi or nothing 95% of the time.

And let’s be honest, I’m not here to defend the NPP, but we all remember when the NDC was in opposition. They criticized, insulted, and even used harsh words against a sitting president, and nothing happened to them. It was all brushed off as freedom of speech.

Now they’re in power, and suddenly the rules have changed. You speak, you joke, or even mildly criticize party officials, and they’ll come for you.

Speak today, and you become a problem tomorrow. Silence may feel safer now… but at what cost? 💔💔
