Future cancer equity depends on how we design AI today. At the recent BMS Cancer Equals Coalition London meeting we discussed inequity across underrepresented groups. AI must narrow gaps and the human in the loop remains vital

Here in the UK, 22 women a day will receive the devastating news that they have Lobular Breast Cancer. Many will probably have never heard of it, despite it being the second most common form of breast cancer.
We need your help to raise awareness of this distinct disease.
Having cancer can be an emotional roller coaster. There will be good days, bad days and in-between days. What helps you to get through those tough days? #LobularBreastCancer
Secondaries On The 2nd.
We want you to know about the signs and symptoms of #MetastaticBreastCancer so we are sharing our infographics that highlight what you should be aware of if you have had a primary breast cancer diagnosis.
These infographics are signposted by NHS England and used worldwide. They are translated into 12 languages.
We know that it can be hard to even think about a recurrence and MBC, but knowledge is power, and if you have any of these symptoms please speak to your medical team. Advocating for yourself is the most important thing you can do for yourself.
As we are focusing on awareness one of METUPUK's key aims, we'd be interested to start seeing your stories on how your #secondarybreastcancer was diagnosed and what signs you think people ought to be looking for.
Use the hashtag #2ndsonthe2nd and we'll share your posts.

Our latest report reveals 28,400 cancer deaths each year are linked to socioeconomic inequality. That's around 78 per day.
We’re committed to tackling health inequalities – because beating cancer means beating it for everyone.
A tenth of all cancer diagnoses in the UK are linked to socio-economic inequalities. Preventable risk factors such as smoking and obesity account for many of these.
🚭The Tobacco and Vapes Bill is a vital step towards reducing inequalities linked to smoking, and protecting future generations from ill-health. This must be backed with sufficient and sustainable funding to ensure stop smoking support is accessible to all who need it. #Smokefree
