Much to be hopeful about in the latest @CAonline report. For #gyncsm - Thrilled to see benefit of #HPVvaccination be realized in ⬇️ rates of #cervicalcancer. Still so much work to do - incidence/mortality of #endometrialcancer still ⬆️ & remains more deadly for Black patients.

Every time I look at social media these days, I see oncology misinformation from non-medical “influencers” - everything from cancer screening to food “cures” ❌. Thanks but 🚫 thanks. This is why health care professionals need to be present online!
We need to stop using the word “prevent” when we talk about food and cancer. Just saw a reel on IG about how soy can prevent breast CA. If only it were that easy…!! #bcsm
So much misinformation on nutrition online. This is why we need verification of health and science accounts so people know who to believe! Always be wary of someone trying to sell you something. #CancerRealTalk
A new study published in Cancer by @WarnerEcho evals cancer nutrition misinformation on @Pinterest. Over 40% of content claimed to prevent cancer, 1/2 of information came from for profit accounts and 1/3 came from those selling product. So many 🚩🚩 online! #CancerRealTalk
