Thanks to @JJLindenSNP & @rossclarksnp for coming to our branch meeting last night to give members an insight into the work of @YSINational & @YSICentralScot. Very interesting discussion which we are pleased led to the decision of the branch to elect a YSI Officer to its exec.
🚨BREAKING: @ScotParl has passed the Referendums (Scotland) Bill by 68 to 54, creating the legal basis for holding an independence referendum.
🏴This is another step forward for Scotland's right to choose our future. This choice must be in Scotland's hands, not Boris Johnson's.
The Scottish Parliament has just passed the Referendums (Scotland) Bill by a majority despite the Tories and Labour voting against it. Proud to have voted for it!
🏘 The SNP @scotgov's First Home Fund is now open for applications.
🔑 Getting a deposit together is often a barrier for many - this £150m fund will help at least 6,000 people to buy their first home.

Today is #InternationalMigrantsDay.
I wish to let all migrants, European or otherwise, in Coatbridge Chryston and Bellshill know that in me they have an MP who will be their voice and to ensure their contributions to our communities is never undervalued.
That's us all official now. I have been sworn in as the MP for Coatbridge Chryston and Bellshill. I look forward to serving all constituents to the best of my ability for the time Scotland remains within the UK.
🔍 Fact: The Tories have no mandate to block Scottish democracy.
🏴 The SNP stood on an explicit platform to give the people of Scotland the choice of independence.
🗳️ The SNP won 80% of Scottish seats at this election, the Tories lost with just 10%.

On an otherwise glorious night for @theSNP the loss of @StephenGethins was a sore one. He has been a fantastic MP - backed by a great team - as well as a passionate advocate for Scotland in Europe. I have no doubt we will see him back in elected politics in future.
🏴 The people of Scotland have spoken.
🙈 Westminster has ignored Scotland for three years.
📣 On Thursday the people of Scotland said – enough. #SNPWin

Strong message from Nicola Sturgeon direct to Boris Johnson about indyref2 “this is not a demand from the SNP, it is the right of Scotland, and you as the leader of a defeated party in Scotland have no right to stand in the way”
🔥 Bernard Ponsonby eviscerates Scottish Tory's anti-democratic argument on Scottish independence.
💻 Fact check: SNP have won a higher percentage of the vote in Scotland than the Tories won UK-wide, and won 8 times the Tories number of seats in Scotland.
