West Chicago HS 61st Legislative Simulation Full Session today. Student-created bills that made it through legislative committees are being debated on the floor.
West Chicago HS’s 61st Full Session assembly kicking off this morning with political caucus meetings as students choose their speakers on the bills brought to the Full Session floor for debate today.
West Chicago Government students with the League of Women Voters held a candidate forum for the Dupage County Board & Forest Preserve candidates. Students wrote the questions and then moderated the event to help educated our community. Democracy is not a spectator sport!

So proud of these financial savvy students who not only scored one of the top scores in the state for the Personal Finance Challenge online competition that placed them in the state finals, but also took 1st in the state finals & will be representing IL at nationals next month!
The 60th mock Full Session today at West Chicago HS. Student-created bills are discussed in caucuses, debated on the floor, and final votes taken. Students also had the opportunity to ask political questions to their State Senator and WeGo alum Karina Villa. #WeAreWeGo
