I would like to announce that I will no longer be working under SportsEthos. I want to thank @NBADWill21 and @Isaac__NBA for taking me in and believing in me! It's been a pleasure. I enjoy covering the Grizzlies and am hopeful for an opportunity to one day continue that passion
Still hard to process. Brandon Clarke played with so much heart and energy that Memphis naturally embraced him. Just 29 years old. A heartbreaking loss for the city, the Grizzlies, and everyone who loved him. ๐๏ธ

Idk if there has been a more devastating NBA season for a team I love than this past year with the Grizzlies and to lose BC on top of it all... I just can't....
Really sad news out of Memphis. Brandon Clarke has died. He was 29.
He was great with kids. He had just established his own foundation and was committed to pouring into the Memphis community. I went to two of those events. Keep his family in prayers.

ICYMI: The Grizzlies donโt have a talent problem. They have a direction problem. Jaren Jackson Jr. is gone. The draft is coming.
And Ja Morant is still at the center of it all. An identity crisis may be brewing...

It pains me to watch so many former Grizzlies be elsewhere and provide meaningful playoff contributions. I had no doubt before but it only reinforces its an organizational issue ๐ฅบ๐ข๐ข
@Isaac__NBA MVS may not make it out of camp unless he improved from last year. He got beat out in camp with the Seahawks and he couldn't get any run on an incredibly injured 49ers receiver room
I am speechless!! This season has been a dream. Watching a ton of football podcasts and starting my own just to cover the year they win the Superbowl ๐ฅน. And to top it all off-Kenneth Walker III Superbowl MVP is from MY city #special
The Memphis Grizzlies will NOT work with Ja Morant to send him to his preferred destination, per @KellyIko
They will send him to the team with the best offer.
The Memphis media are blaming Ja Morant for why the Memphis Grizzlies are rebuilding. Thatโs typical of them. They wonโt get on the front office for their awful decisions over the past few seasons. Theyโre the reason the team is now rebuilding. Zach Kleiman failed. #GrindCity
@SimpleSly2012 I think they were both problematic. I think Jenkins was always going to be good but not great and did have a clear ceiling despite the high floor. Toumas isn't a real NBA coach so no floor
Don't you worry! The Grizzlies never use their trade exception because they can't close the deals on trades (unless they are being fleeced). Also half of those picks will be used in some sort of trade up on Draft Day. It won't mean much in the end
If I'm counting it all up right, the Grizzlies have turned Desmond Bane and Jaren Jackson Jr. into Cedric Coward, five first-round picks (plus a swap), about $17.5M in expiring contracts and the biggest trade exception in NBA history. Lots of raw materials to work with, at least.
