@piersmorgan Ditto, Piers. Re Arrivals at airports. Why are other countries imposing testing/mask/distancing, & in some cases, 2 weeks self-isolation and UK doing absolutely buggar all!
@piersmorgan When is Piers or someone with some influence going to ask THE most important question:
WHY are we not temp testing & issuing masks at airports. Ppl are disembarking, ignoring distance rules and walking straight through customs into the country?
President @realDonaldTrump is halting funding of the World Health Organization while a review is conducted to assess WHO's role in mismanaging the Coronavirus outbreak.
I think it's great, Paul, when someone posts a fun tweet. Especially one that gives your brain a rest from thinking about CV and all the related tensions. I can name 6 but will leave others to name them. Thanks.
@SJJB55@HRH_Cruella@grenner@SkyNews@BBCNews Nothing the media say or do make me less supportive of the Government. No Gov has ever faced such almost overwhelming odds in peacetime. They're doing their best. But a quick reminder, now & again, of priorites doesn't go amiss!
@Mitchel06512105 Your logic on the purposes of testing is ...err.. flawed. Think about the possible uses for the results - both negative & positive. Especially in relation to all medical/caring professions. Forward planning/provision re gen public.
@Balders11@flowesaunders68 I understand. But this is a national emergency and exceptional circumstances provision should be applied. Providing the company is already UK established, registered, with trading/tax records. Can be done with a simple 5 min check on Companies House.
Gov: There's a shortage of the chemicals to make the testing kits.
Manufacturers: We have the necessary chemicals -what we don't have is the orders!
But Gov can spend millions on sending us all letter telling us what we already know! Priorities, Boris, priorities!
@SocialM85897394 @DeniseDoris59 Surprised at you! How dare you imply anyone trying to support the worries of our brillaint, brave NHS & Business are all Lefties etc,. I fully support our Government & stand as one with my country. But sometimes a quick poke in the back of the Gov is needed. It's worked too.
Stating verifiable FACTS by businesses, NHS etc., is NOT being hysterical. It's supporting our front-line medical carers. Putting their lives on the line. The Gov has hell of a tough time on its hands but are all safely at home now. The reminders of 'priorities' are working.
The Tech & Eng teaching staff in a Lincolnshire School have designed and are making Face & breathing Masks for the Lincs Hospitals. So far they've produced 500. Round of applause for these guys who could have sat at home instead.
@dosh69 @CarolineCoramUK That was on TV today too. Some companies have geared up into production anyway. Some have now been contacted. But it shouldn't take 'Shame them into it' tactics in order to get NHS vital supplies.
As older ppl, we will gladly (tho a terrifying thought) tell doctors to give ventilators to the younger generations. Are we ready to die, no. But neither are we ready live with the responsibility of knowing we have caused the death of younger people either.
The Piers Morgan guide to interviewing people about Coronavirus
1. Introduce guest with shouty, opinionated rant
2. Ask leading, accusatory question
3. Interrupt guest as soon as he tries to answer
4. Accuse guest of refusing to answer question
5. Repeat steps 1 - 4...
@flowesaunders68 This exchange between manufacturers here in UK took place this morning on Victoria, BBC. If our companies are brave enough to come out and confront the the Gov over 'propaganda' I know who is telling the truth.
