A problem with the Science of Reading is it focuses primarily on phonics without considering the myriad of variables affecting how children learn to read. Having well-resourced school libraries is one of those critical variables.

@srothschild1 Why? Most local school boards have policies in place for this, and he knows that since he likes to visit and express his concerns at board meetings.
@PrincipalCCW For busier campuses with more drivers, I can understand. However, when it’s a campus with limited visitor parking, and custodians and teachers that often show up earlier and stay later than admin, I don’t think it’s needed. There are other easily accessible spots w/o a sign.
School for our children is around the corner. It’s time to help our #teachers with their #clearthelist to ensure they have the supplies they need. If you are a teacher, please post your list and #retweet this tweet. #clearthelistforteachers
@DrTinaEllsworth That’s a frustration point. Culturally responsive teaching also has the abbreviation CRT, but it’s not the same thing. I didn’t learn about CRT until grad school for my second masters this past fall. Definitely not teaching that in my 3rd grade classroom.
@meischa @NLevendofsky Mine is the same. He doesn’t listen to people if they don’t share his views. He just pushes on through with his agenda of tearing apart schools and our community.
@Linda4Kansas@srothschild1@kneanews Absolutely not true. I was on my computer conversing and helping students and parents most of the day. I was creating videos for those that couldn’t get on the computer until later so they didn’t miss out on math topics and read alouds.
