Hi @donaldglover! I just bought tickets to your show in Toronto! I’m so excited! I am a stage 4 cancer patient and I really admire you as an artist! (I love a good Derrick Comedy sketch to make me laugh!) It would be such a cool bucket list item to meet you backstage! Of course I understand if this can’t be done but just thought I would reach out! Can’t wait to see the show!
POLL: Which topic appeals to you more?
Both are surgeries I've had, and I'll be writing about either one or both – just trying to gauge which is of greater interest (and/or) which should come first.
Oocyte retrieval = "egg" retrieval
Lumpectomy = breast tumor/tissue removal
I attended the @YoungSurvival national summit this past weekend. It was wonderful to have an opportunity to connect with other #AYA#breastcancer survivors + thrivers.

My first article for @WebMD is officially live!
I'll be writing 2 blogs/month about #breastcancer from an experience-based perspective. So thrilled for this opportunity as a breast cancer survivor and a #freelance editor + writer.

It is SO hard to not go up to the other #AYAcancer patient who you know is at the beginning of her journey and tell her she can talk to you without making it awkward 😫😫
First time back at the cancer center since my last infusion. Bloodwork and two check-ups, one with surgery, one with cardio.
Saw a girl younger than me (early 20s) with pretty, medium length pink and purple hair checking in. I wonder if it's her first appointment. I'm sad. 😓
One year ago, I was diagnosed with stage 2 invasive ductal carcinoma.
Never thought I'd have to deal with #breastcancer at age 27.
But I soon became part of the #AYAcancer community.
Here's what happened to me one year ago: https://t.co/BJ3Drcybwc
On the 25th, I turned 28.
Not to be dramatic, but there was quite literally a chance I may not have gotten an opportunity to see this birthday.
A whole hell of a lot has happened this year, and I'm not one to rush time, but I'm so glad 27 is over and done with.
It was good news! My breast surgeon called a few hours later to say the only "changes" on the images are from my surgery scarring and that there's nothing to worry about 🥰😭
This morning I have my first mammogram and ultrasound since my lumpectomy last August.
Don't know how I'm feeling, but I hope it's all good news.
