@UsagiKaede1 Yes. Evoke causes a trigger to appear on the stack upon the creature entering the battlefield. You do not need a ETB trigger, although almost all printed Evoke cards have an ETB naturally. I use this regularly in my Sméagol brawl deck with Grief and Endurance
@SaffronOlive Matching my commanders set unless there’s a better fit from a different set, like my Kumena deck upgraded to LCI basics cause RIX basics are kinda meh.
@Jenn_the_Judge That’s clearly a black symbol. Definitely legal.
Real answer, all the playtest cards are functionally special quests in their packs are they not? I’d guess that the rarity of the card is higher then common but I ve never had a chance to open any playtest stuff so idk.
@NarukamiKnight Currently brewing up an Arabella Pauper list, just finished Nashi Searcher. Scrapped a list for Marina cause I just didn’t like the rooms enough to build around them.
@golgariguy I build a Yarok list that is a secret commander for Volo. It’s been very interesting being restricted like that, especially for specific types being so good with ETBs.
@vote_checkbox I will absolutely try and remember to remind people of this for my own Kumena deck, fully knowing I will forget about this in 5 minutes.
@PhaedaMTG I loved the modular decks, especially with different Partners or Backgrounds! I have made a Baeloth deck with the same idea, minus a mono color list, as well as a Pirates deck with all three Pirate Kindred Partners and a Ninth Doctor + Clara for the various UR+ Upkeep decks.
@golgariguy I play Jodah and have a list for a Budget Imoti with Keruga. Do not get me wrong, they are strong and doing this will work against them. But I also have a ton of decklists and if my opponents don’t want to face this, I will be more then happy swapping to something else.
@TheHermitDruid@TheSethCross I have built so many decks from Baldur’s Gate it’s ridiculous, ignoring the one I haven’t build yet that is a Slime Against Humanity Minsc and Boo deck, I have artisan lists for Abdel + Far Traveler and Wilson + Shadow Thieves, $50 budget lists for Gale + Scion, Lae’zel (Part 1)
@TheHermitDruid@TheSethCross + Master Chef, as well as a Modular decklist for Baeloth Barrityl, using Clan Crafter, Cultist of the Absolute, Noble Heritage, or Raised by Giants to add a second color for 4 unique Red+ Goad decks.
