Ophthalmologist and volunteer surgeon Dr. Helena Ndume, alongside other international volunteer doctors, is currently on a mission to restore the sight of 500 eye patients at the Onandjokwe Hospital in Oniipa, in the Oshikoto Region.
The aim of the campaign is to fight preventable blindness in patients, especially those with cataracts. The campaign, which started in May in Keetmanshoop, rounds off tomorrow.
