With NBC, ABC, and CBS declining to broadcast Trump's speech from the White House tonight, one has to wonder if the Streisand Effect might well cause MORE, not less, people to watch it.

I suspect that will end up being the case.

Streisand Effect: The phenomenon in which an attempt to hide, remove, or censor information results in the unintended consequence of the effort instead increasing public awareness of the information.

As of this morning, President Trump’s 9:00 PM ET (8:00 PM CT) address is confirmed from the White House, but the major broadcast networks have not all announced whether they will interrupt their primetime programming to carry it live.

Here’s the latest:

Fox News — Expected to carry the speech live.
Fox Business — Expected to carry it live.
Newsmax — Expected to carry it live.
NewsNation — Expected to carry it live.
C-SPAN — Traditionally carries all presidential addresses live and is expected to do so.
CNN — Has not officially committed as of this morning.
MSNBC (now branded MS NOW in some markets) — Has not officially committed.
ABC — No public confirmation yet.
CBS — No public confirmation yet.
NBC — No public confirmation yet.
PBS — May provide coverage through its news division, but no final announcement has been made.

The uncertainty appears to stem from the speech’s expected focus on election integrity, voting machines, and declassified intelligence related to the 2020 election. Several networks are reportedly debating whether to air it in full or provide excerpts and fact-check coverage afterward.
