@samosaur 2023 stats (anyone expect they've gotten better?) among U.S. ADULTS. 21% 'struggled' with basic literacy. That's @ 54 Million. 34% of those were foreign born. 18 Million. 54% of ADULTS were literate at 6th grade level or LOWER - 140 Million. Adults.

Lots of truth here, but most times a certain demographic (middle aged males for the most part) and anyone with certain background (military/LE etc) are sliced out by defense lawyers immediately. Women make up the majority @ 52% of all jurors + higher income overrepresented.
