Disney is a form of media that socializes children to societal norms. Indeed, I do believe that with time and many complaints, they were able to change certain aspects of their films when it comes to the ethnicity of their characters. #Educ307 #lesson11

@ChetritVanessa none! One thing that can be deducted from these instances is the societal view on women. I even think that there has been similar cases in the states where they dismiss the rapist due to the fact that the victim was "moaning" during her attack.

The concept of "identity formation" made me realize that maybe the reason people have Youtube channels with their videos posted on them; is for people to build an identity of them. (did i grasp this concept properly?) #Educ307 #lesson6

I believe that technology gives us an illusion of freedom. I say that because, i feel like at a certain extant "we do make our own choices" however, the question that we need to ask ourselves is what factor influences the choices we make... the media !
