Hey snowboy , this is a great question that on the surface seems very simplistic :) my answer is @Oneswapcc (and potentially @Canborsa_DEX or @edeldotfinance integrations) stand out because thy offers true non-custodial wallet + DEX access with no invite/code/waiting-list friction, while preserving Canton’s core privacy guarantees. This is in contrast to the KYC-heavy and discord gets apps out there, Even though danl is its early days and apps are building on it, I expect to see more permissioned yet user-friendly apps coming up like handl etc too.
Just giving my two cents in that I understand where JPM is coming from but this needs a more nuanced take. To be first the only answer is Canton here. Canton is purpose-built as the institutional sweet spot that delivers exactly the control/privacy/governance/compliance benefits JPM describes without the downsides of fully siloed private chains - that is the lack of network effects, the fragmented liquidity and to a certain extent the poor interoperability capability. Daml the languages used on Canton allows for governance and enforceable compliance logic from the jump; while the interplay allows for inniovative retail products, some of which you can see handlpay, edel and so on. While not being a direct impact on Bitcoin, I do think institutions would rather put their liquidity to work in a private and secure network with privacy by design rather that park it in legacy public platforms like ETH, BTC, SOL etc. This hybrid that canton offer avoids both the “glass house” of transparent publics and the isolation of pure privates. A bit of rambling, but I would advice you to look at what Canton is doing to see the how the world is changing under our feet.
Excellent point @AlexWinfield13 the role of Canton validators and Canton Coin in securing the shared public-permissioned layer while enabling private subnetworks is a master-stroke to behold, esp how Daml smart contracts deliver the enforceable legal and/or tokenization logic with the regulatory hooks baked in. I am looking forward to the integration potential across ecosystem projects that the design on Canton will allow e.g., tokenized collateral via Edel or payments via HandlPay and multiple ways this liquidity will spin up new use cases and services across this asset class. I am excited to see how I can help accelerate the adoption of canont across retial and institutional users!!
I see no one has provided a true contribution to your very valid thread. I will anser by giving you a protocol that is building and meeting these questions at an institutional scale that most RWA protocol (including the one you mention) cannot match. Canton’s architecture directly solves these four questions at institutional scale. Daml smart contracts provide on-chain enforceable legal rights and ownership clarity (far beyond generic token standards); privacy-by-design with blinded synchronizers, decoupled synchronization, and permissioned viewing keys enables selective disclosure to auditors/regulators/compliance officers without public exposure or metadata leaks; subnetwork data segregation gives institutions control over who sees/manages what while preserving auditability for MiCA or equivalent regs; and the public-permissioned model with validator-secured shared infrastructure avoids siloed private-chain fragmentation.
I know I dropped quie a bit of jargon, but if you want to invest in something for the future and is scalable and represents assymetric opportunity, look at Canton sir.
The shift from experimentation to production is underway. July 15 – the day tokenization moves closer to real-world production at scale.

Broadridge's repo platform on Canton processed $7.7T last month. That's not a pilot. That's infrastructure. DTCC settlement clearing, HSBC bond issuance. The network is live and handling real volume. $CC #CantonNetwork#RWA
Netstars, a Tokyo Stock Exchange listed company, just signed an MoU with the Canton Foundation for Web3 collaboration. Japan's regulatory clarity makes this geography meaningful. Quiet move, real signal. Does Japanese institutional adoption change how you size Canton exposure? $CC #CantonNetwork #Web3
$CNTN stock holders are watching the closest. This is their core thesis playing out live. What's your position heading into July 13? #Canton $CC #RWA#Tokenisation
@MONITORST_APP Appreciate the fact that you see the asymmetrical upside of $RIZE, probably the biggest bet on canton right now. My largets holding and my second highest conviction outside $CC itself.
@CantonFdn Thanks for sharing this. Insightful. However, having been on many a governance body, I hope that this level of governance does not become a bureaucratic limit on the innovative pipeline Canton is building, adoption and fast reactivity to what the market needs is also key.
Yesterday CC down ~4% alongside broader crypto selling as #BTC slipped from $64.5K to $63.2K. Many leading voices and creators in our Canton community had public meltdowns. Remember, token price is noise, for now. The question is whether Canton's institutional pipeline is building while retail watches candles. What's your signal/noise ratio this week? #Canton #CantonNetwork #Web3Infrastructure
