With the uncertainty this year, the decision has been made that current year 9 students will be given the option to sign up for the @DofE award when they move into year 10 (school year 2021-2022)

Following meeting with SLT this evening, we will have meetings this and next week with current bronze (year 10), silver (year 11) and perspective gold (6th form) @DofE students to explain the plan for the year ahead and encourage completion of non-expedition sections

There is a meeting with the senior leadership team on Tuesday about how @DofE will look in @cantonianhs this year following the disruption to expeditions this summer. We will let students doing their DofE awards know the plans following this meeting

Normally @DofE awards are handed out @cantonianhs prize giving evening in September. However, with the current situation, prize giving has currently been delayed to summer 2021. We will look to hand out awards then, but can hand out individually to students earlier if wanted.

Well done Libby Candrinos on completing your silver @DofE award. Despite the lack of expeditions possible this summer, nine @cantonianhs students have completed their bronze award and four their silver award in the 2019-2020 school year. Well done
