Sources are legit, known to me, and inside, but I'm happy to be wrong. All signs do point to it being a massive cut, maybe up to like 30% of the org, to circle the wagons around the mega brand ip and regroup from there. Who knows what the future plans are?
And look, this is really just all cold, hard, business. But a lot of people are going to get hurt and that sucks. In a terrible job market for games.
Much of this is paying for a lot of years of maybe mismanagement and unbridled growth at Xbox. But also if you're losing money and some studios don't earn, then I dunno...just very hard business calls. But I also don't really trust Microsoft to change ot be different/better in the future. Every regime change shakes things up, people pay the price and a new cycle starts.
Scott Pelley issues new statement after being fired by CBS for opposing their pro-MAGA bias:
“New management has instructed me to inject falsehoods and bias into a politically sensitive story. I’ve been told to include assertions that are unverified. To date, in every case, I have managed to ignore these instructions or refuse them.
Recently, politicians have been invited to choose correspondents for interviews on the broadcast. Giving politicians control over 60 Minutes interviews is not how this is done.
Finally, incompetence and unprofessionalism in the new management have wreaked havoc. In a case involving one of my stories, the entire program came within 19 minutes of not getting on the air at all.”
The Atlantic journalist, Sarah Fitzpatrick, who wrote the story on FBI Director Kash Patel and his alleged erratic behavior, paranoia, often being MIA, and excessive drinking, after he threatened to sue her:
“I stand by every word of this reporting.”

🇺🇸 Hegseth recited “Ezekiel 25:17” speech at a Pentagon church service.
But here’s the problem: it’s not actually from the Bible, but from Tarantino’s Pulp Fiction.
He even tweaked the ending to reference a military rescue unit.
Who do you think pulled it off better? Hegseth or Samuel L. Jackson?
Joe Kent: “There is zero evidence that Iran was trying to build a nuclear weapon, Netanyahu is warmongering.”
The Deputy Speaker of the Iranian Parliament: “We tried to develop nuclear weapons, but couldn't keep it secret.”
My favorite part of the Bible is when Jesus Christ defeats the Antichrist effortlessly at his Second Coming, specifically at the Battle of Armageddon. The victory occurs when Jesus destroys the "lawless one" and casts him into the lake of fire.
Hungarian Prime Minister-elect Peter Magyar:
Ukraine is the victim of this war. Everyone knows that. No one should tell Ukraine under what conditions it must enter peace or sign a peace treaty. We cannot ask any country to give up its territory.
