@drsas27@ClearThinker66@Anaes_Journal@VirtueOfNothing Its fine for some lists, eg high vol dental -but not others e.g a neuro list with ‘scary’ equip in theatre. Mooting removing anaes rooms without considering kids is a problem as someone will see it as a cost-saving measure and then the quality argument gets lost in the finances
@ClearThinker66@Anaes_Journal@VirtueOfNothing@drsas27 Think bubbles / light effects / a lot of wall stickers ! We only really anaesthetise mega sick kids or neonates in the theatre itself. We may perform blocks/ site lines in there and sometimes do the surgical / medical procedure in this room too.
That’s the brief version !

@ClearThinker66@Anaes_Journal@VirtueOfNothing@drsas27 Hi Jay- I work in a tertiary centre as a paed anaesthetist & in a cancer centre for radiotherapy GA’s. As a snapshot - our Anaesthetic rooms are a quiet, child friendly environments & parents can come in (in normal clothes) for the induction of anaesthesia 1/2

Have you ever used chest compressions to relieve laryngospasm?
@LeDyslexicMedic and Walker have!
Read about it at the link below.
(Hint: They kindly recorded their experience - there's also a video!)
