I Want To Write A Poem
I want to write a poem about love
As I always do
Let the words flow out of my heart onto the page
But there are no words in my heart
A heart having no one to love
I want to write a poem about happiness
About how big my smile used to be... 1/8
Sometimes I wonder
When I'm not with you, do you think of me
Do you dream of what I might be doing
Or of what you could be doing to make my life better
To make life better for both of us
Or you spend those times totally forgetting about my existence
They say love is blind
Nti, I close my eyes dey follow you
Baby, anywhere you go, I will go
Love is blind
So, I see no flaw in you
Baby, about my intense love for you, I want you to know

Beautiful
This morning, I woke up
Staring fixedly into her sleeping face
This beauty queen who lay beside
Wondering how I got so lucky
To call her my own
I call her Sleeping Beauty
But her beauty goes beyond just her looks
She is loving and caring
She is kind... 1/2
John 3:16 (KJV)
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.

1 John 3:16 NIV
This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters.
Words
As I lay in bed battling to sleep
I battle with words for the right ones to speak
For what is my use if you do not like me
I mean, if my words do not dive deep into your heart, where would this relationship be
I need you to love me
More than how now, you love me

Enduring the same from a lady who claimed at first to want attention
Now, I'm wondering why
Why we find it so hard to let go

Why?
Why do we tolerate sh*t all in the name of relationships
Why do we allow love to continue hurting us
She's been complaining about his neglect since at least 3 years ago
I don't know if it's now that she'll finally let him go

For love's true beauty, lies in mutual embrace,
Not in one-sided servitude, a lonely, empty space.
So let this be a call, to rebalance the scales,
To love and be loved, with equal, tender gales. ...4/5
A gesture of affection, forever forecast.
Conversations, a one-way street, it seems,
Your interests alone, my heart's deepest dreams.
Yet still, I hold on, to the love we once knew,
And hope that someday, the scales will balance anew. ...3/5
The scales of love, once balanced and true,
Now tip to one side, with me always giving anew.
The bowls of life, I wash and clean with care,
While yours remain unwashed, with no thought to share.
Touch, a language of love, now a distant past, ...2/5
