The audience for the, "Global Surgery: moving beyond Physicians?" session drew on the expertise of Mr Sandhi Gangha, Dr Martilord Ifeanyichi, Dr Håkon Bolkan and our own Dr Kuba Gajewski.

This breakout session discussed -

The long-term success of a surgery depends on more than the surgeon. Nurses, Midwives, Physical therapists. Beyond surgery, proper management of postoperative care has the most impact on on postoperative mortality.

@ArdGerrits , currently working in Sierra Leone, has tackled the distance before. In January, he completed a 47 km run in Sierra Leone to support Lion Heart. Despite a night flight from Sierra Leone right before the Amstelveen marathon, we believe Ard will show his resilience!
