@SimonCalder (Cntd) check in staff said (I quote) Sir, it’s not a question of whether the country will allow you entry, it’s a question of whether WE will allow you to fly.
@SimonCalder This happened to me in August in Teesside airport when travelling to Canada. Insisting, incorrectly, that I needed 6 months on my passport when I had checked that was not needed, and I had obtained the ETA. The absolutely incredible response I received at the desk (cntd)
@MartinSLewis We love the landscapes. There are natural wonders you can’t see anywhere else. They were there before Trump and they’ll be there when he’s gone. I see no reason to cut off my nose to spite my face.

@Peston Doesn’t really fit with the popular stereotype of your average Reform supporter being a barely educated gammon still using DVD players and three letter passwords. Is Tik Tok likely to an influential medium?
@HollieStaffor12 @TomStocks1982 Surprisingly in an operating theatre, it’s only the “green cloth” area that’s designated “sterile”. That is literally the green cloth that the patient lies on. 3 feet away is inexplicably (for me at least) not sterile. You could eat a sandwich and watch an operation
@Peston I think context may be absent here. So posting this for context (from wiki): „Schnorrers are a common butt of Jewish jokes, depicting his living off his wits and his dignified entitlement to handouts.[5]“
@MarkOrmrod@JMI91363942 It’s depressing but you’re correct. If the vote goes the wrong way, you won’t be allowed to keep what you voted for. I didn’t vote for Boris in 2019, but that’s the way the vote went. Every element of their manifesto was dismantled in 2 years, every minister, gone
@MarkOrmrod There’s not much leaders actually have to DO apart from setting clear achievable goals and providing the necessary resources. Everything else is enabling
I find it unfathomable that America, as an alleged functioning democracy, does not separate its legislature from its government and also that nobody seems to see the absurdity in that state of affairs
