@AdrianLuty@AnnOlivarius@cindygallop “Mackay’s unsolicited messages, which began on 2 August, included calling him “cute” a number of times, discussing the boy’s new haircut, and inviting him to dinner and to a parliamentary event as his guest.”
Enough with the self-serving minimising by men caught out.
Sending hundreds of messages to a 16-year old boy still living at home is not "foolish", it's predatory and creepy - and we all know it.

It is scandalous that women fleeing domestic abuse in 2020 still face the terrifying prospect of either returning to their perpetrator or becoming homeless. No one should be turned away from support when they are at their most vulnerable https://t.co/rLGpf0z4Sm
Men’s careers recover all the time after accusations of abuse for sexual violence against women. And indeed following actual convictions. Ford's book "Boys Will Be Boys" lists 25 pages of such men, with (negligible) impacts on their careers, pp. 332–357. https://t.co/iEnVayN7uo
There is a gross amount of classism, sexism, and racism tied up in the idea that good skin/good health is a result of being a better person, living an appropriately “clean” life, because beauty industries sell us on the idea that health=morality.
Don’t fall for that.
A new centre for victims of domestic violence has opened in Accrington, named after the famous ‘voters for women’ campaigner Emily Davison. #DV#VAW#Lancashire https://t.co/PvNNAxZG2H
@TammyWebsterX@Hayleystevens I realise now that you weren’t asking for top tips on how to convert any believers. I guess they just need to experience non-paranormal experiences over time and have the curiosity to interrogate & interpret them.
@TammyWebsterX@Hayleystevens Start by asking them good-faith questions about what they believe in & why, and then you’ve begun a no-pressure conversation that gets you both thinking and talking about each’s position. Too many who want to educate aren’t willing to play the long game - and that’s what it is.
Here’s a Lib Dem campaign leaflet from my constituency appealing directly to Conservative voters to stop Labour. This was their game all along #VoteLibDemGetTory
"Self-appointed religious 'leaders', who claim to speak on behalf of minorities, instead use them like pawns in a game for power and influence." This from @sunny_hundal is our essay of the week: https://t.co/Ci83ixFbU7
