The Government at every tier of governance knows exactly what to do [to ameliorate, reduce hardship, insecurity, etc]. But the script given to them by the "Shadow men also known as the Cabals" is far weightier than the cries of the masses.

They are hung on the pendulum of either pleasing the cabals or the masses. This dilemma alone gives them sleepless nights. Godfatherism, cabals are the bane of underperformance in governance, coupled with few individual greed and gluttony.

BUDGET ON THE TABLE, RIVERS STATE LAWMAKERS MISSING IN ACTION

It is rather laughable when some individuals take to social media to allege that Governor Siminalayi Fubara has refused to present the 2026 Appropriation Bill.

The facts tell a very different story.

On November 24, 2025, Governor Fubara, while briefing journalists during an inspection of the ongoing reconstruction of the Rivers State House of Assembly chambers, clearly expressed his readiness and willingness to present the 2026 budget.

Barely days later, on December 5, 2025, the House of Assembly hurriedly went on recess the same day Speaker Martin Amaewhule claimed he had 15 others, even though they are yet to/ register in their respective wards.

Interestingly, the recess was scheduled to last until January 26, 2026.

Fast forward to January 2, 2026: the State Executive Council approved a proposed ₦1.85 trillion budget for 2026, aptly themed “Budget of Resilience for Growth and Development.” Yet, instead of reconvening to receive the budget, the lawmakers resurfaced on January 8, not to perform their constitutional duty, but to issue an impeachment notice against the Governor.

So one must ask: how can any reasonable person claim that Governor Fubara does not want to present the 2026 budget?

The timeline is clear.

The facts are solid.

And no amount of propaganda can rewrite them. #EnoughIsEnough
