Brodie Johnston (@brodiejohnsto6) continued his hot start with a 2-4 performance tonight in the @yd_redsox win. The Chattanooga native has been a full time starter throughout his first two years with @vandyboys , and is a great prospect in the ‘27 class.
Jacob Parker (@Parker13Jake) starts his season hot with an RBI single in his first AB on the Cape. Parker is one of the top prospects in the ‘27 class, and is headlining the loaded @ChathamAnglers OF that will add Bino Watters and Anthony Pack Jr.

The best offensive debut of Opening Day came from Caden Miller (@UTSABSB.), batting lead off and playing 1B for the @harborhawks. He went 2-4 with a walk, a double and a 2-run home run.
Miller is coming off a sophomore season in which he slashed .369/.514/.626. In 58 games he hit 9 home runs, stole 13 bases, and only struck out 36 times. That complete offensive profile, plus his ability to play multiple positions make him a name to watch in Hyannis this summer and ahead of the 2027 MLB Draft.
Opening Day brought many great debuts, but one that stood out was the pitching performance of Danny Nelson from @ClemsonBaseball. The RHP came on in relief for the @YD_RedSox and pitched 3.2 no-hit innings recording 5 strikeouts and walking only one.
Nelson will be draft eligible in 2028 and should be an electric arm to watch this summer and at Clemson next year. His arsenal is led by a fastball which has touched 97 and an upper-80s slider. The stuff paired with a low arm slot make him an exciting 2028 draft prospect.
#1 Hudson Barrett, LHP - @OSUBaseball
This 6-5 lefty from Oklahoma State posted a 2.58 ERA, 12.7 K/9, and .194 BAA in 2026. His plus fastball, go-to changeup, and wipeout slider produced an elite 32% strikeout rate over 45.1 innings. The stuff along with the lefty's frame make him the arm to watch in this class. Barrett will join the @BourneBraves looking to help them get back to the Championship.
Every summer the Cape fills up with some of the most elite college level MLB Draft prospects. The group includes players eligible for each of the next three drafts.
In anticipation for opening day 2026, here is a look at our top 5 must-know pitchers who are eligible for the 2026 MLB Draft.

#2 Charlie West, LHP - @UConnBSB
West has been one of the most productive arms in the northeast all year. He led all Big East pitchers with 111 Ks in 2026. Over 87.1 IP the workhorse weekend starter showcased an ability to go deep into games and still miss bats. That swing and miss stuff should land him on the higher end of the @BrewsterCaps rotation this Summer.
