🚨💣 | OFFICIAL - Pro Ref confirm “an error of judgement” in Haaland’s goal and have informed Manchester United directly:
"It was established that Enzo Fernandez did not play the ball and therefore that makes any offside offence subjective, however, on this occasion, the VAR did NOT recognise the likely impact of his position and SHOULD have recommended an on-field review.
“Contact has been made with Manchester United this evening to acknowledge what we deem is an error of judgement. A review of the incident will take place.”

Fixtures I’m anxiously waiting:
SUNDERLAND VS CHELSEA
SUNDERLAND VS MANCHESTER UNITED
SUNDERLAND VS MANCHESTER CITY
SUNDERLAND VS LIVERPOOL
SUNDERLAND VS TOTTENHAM
I can’t wait, I want to check something 😂
I’ve criticised INEOS before, but accountability has to be honest. You cannot blame INEOS for a team failing to beat 10 men for over an hour. At that point, the responsibility lies firmly with the manager and the players. Stop using INEOS as a convenient excuse for a failure on the pitch.
Apparently yesterday wasn’t a dream😒😭. I am never expecting anything positive from these set of players ever again.
Time and again you’d think they learnt from their last stinker only for them to repeat an ever worse mistake. Do they not go through the game and see where they fell short?
As it stands any team can come to old trafford and walk away with the points.
I’m exhausted!
Honestly, goals and assists statistics are genuinely ruining football.
They are changing how people see the game, especially people who don't actually understand the sport beyond looking at numbers.
Take Bruno Fernandes, for example.
He has had five goal contributions for Manchester United in about seven games this season. That's more than a lot of players and attacking midfielders.
But anyone who actually watches the games will tell you that Bruno has only had one truly perfect game this season — against Ipswich.
And this is exactly why goals and assists don't tell the full story of what a number 10 is supposed to do.
The job of a modern number 10 isn't simply to create goals and assists.
A number 10 also has to contribute to the team's dominance, help the team control possession and dictate how the team attacks.
Look at players like Dani Olmo and Martin Ødegaard.
They don't just create chances or play the final pass. They contribute heavily to possession. They dictate the tempo of the game in their own way.
Of course, deep-lying playmakers, DMs and central midfielders also influence possession. But a number 10 dictates how their team attacks, the patience of those attacks, when to accelerate, when to slow things down and when to keep the ball.
And that is something Manchester United currently lack in Bruno Fernandes.
Bruno dictates how we attack, and when a player like Bruno dictates your attacks, you tend to lose control of possession because he doesn't want to be patient on the ball.
It's attack, chaos, chaos, chaos.
And that's not how modern football should work.
Look at Martin Ødegaard at Arsenal.
When you watch him, you see so much patience on the ball. So much control and elegance.
He's not a perfect player. He has his flaws.
But he dictates how Arsenal attack.
He understands when Arsenal should be aggressive, when they should slow things down, when they should keep possession and when they should increase the tempo.
That's the job of a modern number 10.
Not just creating chances.
Not just throwing great passes.
Not just racking up goals and assists.
It's about controlling how your team attacks.
@DeadlineDayLive Could've signed him in January & fee would've been fair enough too, Truffert has done well in the PL & has potential to be even better. Lets see if there is any hope of a left back coming in before next summer.
