DistrictSports Caps

Occasional incoherent ramblings from a guy who used to cover the Capitals. Not affiliated with the organization in any manner.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Is that good?

[Ian Oland @ianoland]

The John Carlson and Brenden Dillon pairing has been on the ice for all three Habs goals

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

@BenRaby31 @JapersRink @russianmachine @bmcnally14 @RobCarlinNBCS Alzner, Konowalchuk

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

I'd feel better about the Blues beating the Bruins if I didn't know they were also Cardinals fans. Don't @ me

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

This is some damn ugly hockey right now.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

I get getting hit in the face with a puck is an unpleasant thing, but shaking your mask off ought to be DOG

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Clearly Riorden thinks Caps can take advantage of Canes D with the dump and chase drill. It hasn't happened...yet.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Boy that first goal by Carolina made Holtby look lazy. Hasn't been his best game, but has had moments. He'll need a few more.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

That was 10 minutes of good, hard hockey by both teams. If, you know, you can distance yourself emotionally at this point. #ALLCAPS

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

NOW you call a penalty???

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

There's a difference between not wanting to impact the outcome and not calling obvious and blatant penalties.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Carlson absolutely standing flat-footed and watching on that one. No resistance.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Inject this into your veins. #ALLCAPS

.@Kuzya92 restores the 2-goal lead. 🦅🦅 #Game7 #StanleyCup

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

That look on Orpik's face sure seems to say he should be in concussion protocol right now instead of on the bench.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Kuzy with his single-best shift of the series right there.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Dougie Hamilton will have nightmares about Ovechkin all summer, regardless.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Ovechkin is Backstrom.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Great pressure. Great patience. Great execution. Game on.

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

I don't know, fam. The #StanleyCup has changed me. No anxiety. No dread. Hope they show. Hope they win. But not freaking out. Regardless, #ALLCAPS

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

and THAT'S not embellishment? c'mon

[DistrictSports Caps @CapitalsDSP]

Someone want to tell me what Niskanen is doing tonight because playing NHL-caliber defense isn't it.
