TRON: Ares is everything I wanted in a sequel, and more.

Although I would’ve loved a continuation of Sam and Quorra’s story. TRON: Ares makes up for it in the first five minutes. This is a film for all generations of fans. The score, characters, and VFX were nothing short of spectacular.

TRON: Ares respects everything that came before, but it doesn’t rely on previous instalments. It brings its own fresh take on the franchise, and actively builds on the world we all love.

It also brings the grid back to its original purpose of feeling like a proper computer/system, instead of a cybernetic world (nothing against the cyberpunk world vibe).

This is a film truly made with love that even casual fans will notice, and gives us an exciting glimpse into what the future could bring. This needs to be seen in IMAX (or IMAX 3D), it was made for the movie theatre!!

MY (spoiler-free) THOUGHTS ON Tron: Ares

Id like to address the reviews we all have seen, and give my thoughts on how abhorrently WRONG they are.

First of all let me say that the critic reviews are repeating history like they did with Legacy. Leto is AWESOME and totally belongs in this movie. One thing these critics fail to mention is the fact Leto ACTS like a program, he's not just the guy you see in every other movie.

Another thing, the movie is not solely focused on the 1982 film despite reviews saying so, if anything it has much to do with Legacy.

If you're a super-fan of Tron: Legacy you'll notice the MANY references to that film, there is no lack of them.

NIN's tracks hit HARD through the entire film and are placed perfectly for each scene.

Evan Peters character was written so well, exactly what you'd expect from the son of a villain.

The future of the TRON franchise is bright, and it's THERE AND READY. It's up to the world to give it the love it deserves this next week and go see it.
