The creators of Kirby were asked to draw the character entirely from memory. Here’s what they came up with.

A 1993 memory challenge showed that even Nintendo’s top creators couldn’t perfectly recreate Kirby from memory. Masahiro Sakurai’s version was remarkably accurate, while Shigeru Miyamoto and Satoru Iwata came up with more squished, potato-like versions. It’s a funny example of how even the simplest designs can be surprisingly difficult to remember precisely.
