Every west coast team that could’ve made a regional final this year.
USC was disrespected, top 10 RPI and didn’t host. They went to A&M and won the regional.
ASU was a 3 seed and got to the Lincoln Regional final.
UCSB was a 2 seed and got to the Austin Regional final.
Cal Poly, a 3 seed swept the LA Regional.
Oregon swept through their regional.
We should’ve had another LA regional and a Corvallis regional.
All year, I’ve been saying that the west is as good as it’s been in years; however, it’ll be tough to get more than 2 teams to Omaha because they’ll not give credit to the mid majors and they’ll lump everyone together. That’s what the committee did.
UCLA swept TCU and the SEC teams they played this year but California mid majors were their kryptonite all year.
All west coast college baseball fans want is the ability to not beat up on each other and actually have a chance to get as many teams as possible to Omaha.
All these D1/D2 guys going in the portal looking for NIL money and better places…
Bunch of Juco dogs would help you win for a peanut butter sandwich and a chocolate milk.
🚨 JUCO Wisdom Week continues 🚨
🎙️ Head coach @WenteJon from @AWCMatadors speaks about getting noticed at showcases and staying on your course of development.
A lot of players get caught chasing quick results, but development over time still matters. Worth a listen for players and parents trying to understand today’s recruiting landscape.
⚾ Stay on your path.
📈 Keep developing.
👀 Keep getting seen.

I’ve been watching a lot of the Juco World Series this week on ESPN+, and it’s the purest form of baseball I’ve seen in ages. No K zone. No radar gun. Dodgy field. Just guys chasing dreams and a ring. I couldn't love it more. Especially considering this is who’s pitching tonight.

Breaking records isn’t easy:
Friday - Start
Saturday - Cardio & Mobility
Sunday - Off
Monday - Prep
Tuesday - Bullpen & Heavy Lift
Wednesday - Mobility
Thursday - Prep
Starting pitchers schedules allow for even more development in-season (when executed correctly).
Before “D1 or bust,” remember this: there are roughly 300 Division I baseball programs. That means just 300 starting 1B, 2B, SS, and 3B spots across the country.
On top of that, you’re competing against multiple classes of players — including older athletes maybe still using extra eligibility years.
Having big goals is great. But it’s also smart to keep your options open. There’s outstanding college baseball being played at every level.
This map does not include NAIA and JUCO programs. With those programs included, there are roughly 1,700 college baseball programs in the USA.

1. NCAA eligibility update — what families need to understand:
Do not panic.
Do not change plans overnight.
Do not assume this is final yet.
But yes, this could become a major shift in how families think about college baseball timelines.
Luke Falk shared a Mike Leach story that stopped me cold:
Two kids. One rich. One poor.
Every training camp, Coach Leach told his team about these 2 kids.
The rich kid has two choices.
Get soft. Get entitled. Expect everything handed to him because he was handed more.
Or take the resources, the coaching, the opportunities, and compound them into something greater.
The poor kid has two choices too.
Say nobody gave him anything. Blame the world. Make his circumstances the reason he never became what he could have been.
Or outwork everyone in the room.
Luke said the locker room had both. Kids from wealth. Kids from nothing. Kids with every advantage. Kids who scraped for every inch.
Same choice for all of them.
Ownership or victimhood.
Fuel or excuse.
The rich kid can waste the head start or build on it.
The poor kid can drown in the deficit or weaponize it.
Greatness doesn't come from where you start.
It comes from which kid you choose to feed.

BSB: Congrats to @MACU_baseball junior first baseman Frankie Giacalone on being tabbed the @Sooner_Athletic Netting Pros/STADIONIC Player of the Week as he hit for a .625 batting average with a 2.102 OPS against USAO!
