"It will be of great advantage to the struggling Christian to remember that seasons of darkness are normal in the Christian life."

Dear men: the cute girl behind the counter is working. She's being nice because it's her job. It's not an invitation, and she is not one of the products for sale in this establishment. Stop hitting on women when they are at work.
@ash_kaashh They donât want to because it removes the power of being manipulative.
When consent is involved it makes it
Less rewarding for them to do.
They like the act of being deceitful and sneaking around, it makes them feel powerful.
When in reality thatâs some weak shit to do.
This kind of anti-christian propaganda can be incredibly damaging to people's faith if they don't see what's really going on and how deceptive it is. So let's take a deep breath and think about this.
Firstly, you don't go to hell "for being an atheist." Atheists don't even exist, and you go to hell for sinning. All humans sin. We lie... cheat... steal... etc. We all fall short of God's perfect standard. That's why God made a way for us to still enter back into a relationship with Him, but that requires us to repent, to turn from sin. The problem is that not everyone chooses to accept God's grace, so they go to hell, which is what we all deserve anyway. You might not like that, but your opinion is irrelevant.
Secondly, this meme treats repentance like a magic "get out of jail free" card. This is a caricature of Christianity and what it teaches. Repentance is about more than just saying "sorry God" right before you die. It's about genuinely turning your entire life around and dying to yourself. It's not a flippant thing like the meme suggests.
Thirdly, the meme plays strongly on our intuition about justice, but where does justice come from? Atheists want to say that this isn't just, but according to who, them? It's all just subjective and arbitrary on their view. The problem here is that atheists are trying to do an internal critique and an external critique at the same time. This is pretty much all they do btw. If they were purely doing an internal critique they would never question the justice or fairness of God because on our worldview that doesn't make sense (God is perfect), but if they try to do an external critique and judge God from their worldview, they're standing on a foundation of nothing. They don't have anything solid they can appeal to that would justify this claim. So instead they try to do both at the same time and just hope no one notices.
Iâm no longer Catholic because after reading the Bible and comparing it with Catholic theology and history it becomes very obvious that Roman Catholicism is a man-made cult that counterfeits Christianity!
âYou see that a person is justified by works and not by faith alone.â
James 2:24 ESV
âFor by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not your own doing; it is the gift of God, not a result of works, so that no one may boast.â
Ephesians 2:8-9 ESV
These verses seem to contradict. But they donât.
James is reminding us that you canât just claim to believe something and think youâre saved. Even Satan believes that Jesus is Lord, but he has no works.
Paul is telling us works alone canât save anyone. God isnât rewarding us for a job well done; He is giving us grace through Jesus for a prize we could never have earned. We canât impress God with our deeds because theyâll never be good enough. God saves us, not the other way around.
We are saved by grace through faith, and that faith will never be alone, but will produce fruit.
The fact that our works could never save us in no way minimizes Jesusâ commands to do them. We do them because we honor his sacrifice and thus we sacrifice for others.
Good works are extremely important as a Christian and faith without them is dead.
Yet we canât work our way into heaven; itâd just two different concepts.
Y'all want the God of the Bible to be pro gay so bad and I think that's so odd. If you don't want to believe in what it actually says, then just stop claiming to be a believer rather than trying to make it say what you WANT it to say.
The doctor in Hawaii who tried to throw his wife off a cliff is on trial right now.
His wife testified he was never physically violent before that incident.
You know whatâs the best clue that someone will go on to try to ki!! their partner?
Theyâre controlling. Not that theyâre physically violent.
Itâs that theyâre controlling.
Since when do Christians NOT celebrate redemption and repentance? Some of the things Iâve seen this week are extremely disheartening.
Throughout Scripture, we see Godâs people redeemed and restored time and again:
â˘Davidâadultery and murder. Forgiven (2 Samuel 12:13)
â˘Thomasâdoubt and unbelief. Restored (John 20:27â29)
â˘Jonahârebellion against God. Restored (Jonah 2:1â10)
â˘Peterâdenied Christ three times. Restored (John 21:15â17)
â˘Zacchaeusâfraud and extortion. Saved (Luke 19:8â10)
â˘Rahabâprostitution. Redeemed (Joshua 6:25; Hebrews 11:31)
â˘Thief on the crossâcriminal sin. Saved (Luke 23:42â43)
â˘Woman caught in adulteryâsexual immorality. Forgiven (John 8:10â11)
â˘Paulâpersecuted the church. Forgiven (1 Timothy 1:13â16)
â˘Manassehâidolatry and child sacrifice. Forgiven (2 Chronicles 33:12â13)
Those are some pretty egregious sins, and yet we celebrate their testimonies. But when @TrevorSheatz shares the testimony of his wife, @AshleySheatz (who has her testimony pinned to her profile), professing Christians hurl insults and minimize the grace and love of our Savior.
If you have a similar story and choose not to tell, thatâs your prerogative. But this was their story and theyâve chosen to share what God has redeemed her from.
Itâs concerning to see people who speak of Christâs grace, yet fail to reflect it in how they treat others.
@conservmillen The comments in this section prove that people don't have enough of The Word in the them. Their foundation is built on commentary of podcasters, and it's sinking sand.
