@ThePatriotOasis Minor correction: The amnesty is for everyone EXCEPT the class of 2026. They just graduated, got commissioned, and are no longer midshipmen. The amnesty applies the the classes of 2027, 2028, & 2029.

@da_sails Mostly valid, but keep in mind, when fossil fuel capacity factors are listed, those values are of what is done, vs what could be done. Per kWh, nuclear is the "cheapest" fuel, so the run as much as possible. FF Gens are run when needed.

@MatthewWielicki I was a submarine officer. I can verify, first hand, that CO₂ levels on subs are far higher—5X to 10X—than normal outside air. Our amine-based scrubbers couldn't get anywhere close to normal. They would crap out near 2X to 3X.

@SecretaryWright To be clear, was the "Peak" output in GW or total day's capacity in GWh? Please give full capacity in a day and add LNG & Nuclear for comparison. The lies of renewables needs to be told. The @eia needs to list costs in $/MWh (daily) vs $/MW.

@EricLDaugh One flaw in the plan: Previously privateers were able to make money by seizing the cargo and selling it. The cargo in this case is illegal drugs that they can't sell. So there's no incentive. Rogue oil tankers however would be the high life!

@GovNuclear HTGR, but connected to supercritical CO₂ Regenerative Brayton Cycle instead of steam generators using the Rankine cycle. Higher efficiencies & lighter weight. Plus the in-use refuelling can't be beat.
