@stationerycar@BlanchardPhD I love the way you are thinking. I wonder if by the same token we should then simplify things and call the bird Türkiye and rename the nation Big Chicken?
@reeeetired@chrismartenson Should someone out of uniform should be saluting anyway? Generally considered to be vulgar and improper in the UK. Simply standing to attention is considered appropriate. Given bone spurs prevented POTUS donning a uniform and serving his country, I guess courtesy doesn’t apply.

@LucyLetbyTrials@janinethechef1@ClarkeMicah In fairness, he did say that was taken out of context. Denning died at 100 and in his later years made comments that didn’t reflect his widely respected intellect. The Independent went as far as to run a piece after his death headlined: ‘If only Lord Denning had died at seventy”
There is no ‘narrative’ aside from uninformed and shameful speculation. In the UK we are fortunate in having a world class marine investigation organisation in the #MAIB. They will produce an objective independent and comprehensive report. Now is not the time for arse covering.
Absolute overkill (excuse the pun) re: the death of #MikeLynch on the news. Giovanni Constantino whose company manufactures those boats says that they are ‘unsinkable’. He does not believe the narrative regarding its sinking. Neither do I.
Just like our English summer, a season which promises/(threatens) so much, the hurricane season is surprisingly late getting up a head of steam. Stay abreast of the happenings. Contact [email protected]@CaptainAMcC
@ukonward@Valen10Francois Have you considered that the armed forces needs committed youngsters who want a professional rewarding career not forced conscripts who would be a drain on their already stretched resources?
