I know 400+ districts/schools who could use such IN tax dollars to off-set COVID costs.
We don’t have $ to waste. Fund our students not political nonsense.
Move forward, Indiana.

Van, thank you for expressing the sorrow and relief that we all feel. My hope is that those who hoped for a different outcome will take a moment to empathize with the pain so many of us have felt over the past four years.
When pro-life = anti-masks, pro-gun, anti-immigration, anti-universal healthcare, and pro-death penalty you really have to wonder what kind of life we’re advocating for.
Out of the chaos and dysfunction of American Christianity, God the Holy Spirit is raising up a "love your enemies, justice-seeking, Pro-All of life, multiethnic missionary community of disciples. Like a rose growing through the concrete. And she will be beautiful.
Trump may bless the suburbs. But Jesus blessed the poor... No Christian can defend this anti-Christian rhetoric. The Gospel of Jesus sounds nothing like the “gospel” of Trump.
"When teachers chose to give our lives to teaching, this wasn’t what we had in mind."
For many teachers facing the return to school, the usual combo of nerves and excitement has been replaced by terror, says @JustinMinkel. #TeacherWellness#EWopinion https://t.co/ge6K7mgNlK
@aoc with the truth here. Disagree with her politics if you like, but our country is better bc of people like her who are willing to speak revealing truths to people who have benefited from oppression and dehumanization for generations.
‘Having a daughter does not make a man decent. Having a wife does not make a decent man. Treating people with dignity and respect makes a decent man’ — Rep. AOC sending a message to all men in response to Rep. Yoho’s non-apology
"I see nothing more American than standing up for what you believe in. I see nothing more patriotic than peaceful protests when things are frustrating and upsetting," said San Francisco Giants manager Gabe Kapler, who knelt with players in Monday's game https://t.co/NJe7ZGzcln
What if the same level of commitment, dedication, and support ($) for excessive academic testing I see from many elected officials was transferred to the commitment, dedication, and support of COVID-19 testing?

So teaching this year means:
1. Still have 25 kids
2. Somehow social distance
3. Kids and adults wear masks all day
4. Specials and lunch are in my classroom
5. 30 min lunch (down from 45) with daily recess duty
6. Be viewed as a babysitter so America can get back to work
@TPepple @wane15@NatalieC_TV He's actually donating to the Friends and Family of SE Fort Wayne, which helps distribute power and financial resources directly to SE FW (easily the most under-invested quadrant of the city). Hope is to provide opportunities that will bring economic wealth and connectivity.
This right here. This is what our world needs. Couldn't be prouder of these kids and their efforts to be the hands and feet of Jesus.
May God continue to work in and through these people to bring His kingdom here to Earth.

If there was ever a time schs needed federal support, it is now.
Students deserve an unprecedented federal investment in resources not cuts or diversion of funds.
Schools deserve a federal champion to lift our leaders, support our teachers & believe in the safety of our kids.
Stop portraying Black communities as though they don’t care about gun violence when Black people are least likely to own guns & are the most supportive of gun control legislation. That narrative is RACIST. 2/
Early highlight of the day: my daughter is watching Ice Road Truckers (by herself) and genuinely applauded when they finally got the truck out if the ditch.
You do you, girl.
