Coughcough!!
He was covered in a fine later of dust and soot and made sure to deactivate the gauntlets for safety measures.
"I upgraded some of the equipment on my gloves. With my nanites, of course. Even with state of the art tech, I still manage to find a way to make it blow."
Time to test it out...
He definitely set himself outside with a few random items to use as target practice:

The one thing Dib and his kids loved to do together that, rarely, ended in screeching...
Was building with legos.
It sure has been a while since Dib....has been in his lab.
Fatherhood was no joke and he appreciated his Dad so much more each day, wishing he had spent more time trying to understand his old man than resenting him.
Man.
His Dad sure was lucky to have him and Gaz.
Because
unconditionally. Even if they sometimes drove him and Eli up the goddamn wall.
Dib still tried to help Eli educate them and teach them numbers and letters. Read them books and told them stories about ghosts and ghouls he's ever faced-- so long as they didn't scare Orion too
