Botswana First Lady Namboole Tebogo
To health educators & promoters, epidemiogists, nutritionists & all health professionals, I am really worried. And you too should be.
Why? The battle against non- Communicable diseases is far from being won.
The dominant but mistaken thinking that being heavy, overweight & obese= being healthy and on the other hand being slim & small-framed = being unhealthy is a serious cause for alarm. To the contrary, a lean body= a strong one 💪. Is this hard to understand?
Weight loss can only be worrying if it's unintentional, unexplainable, and most times due to malnutrition or an involuntary matabolic syndrome associated with underlying chronic sickness. BUT if weight loss is intentional & achieved through measures such as dieting or slimming that involve reducing one's total body mass through calorie reduction, increased physical activity, or lifestyle changes its nothing else BUT an act to celebrate. It is one of the best health targets/outcomes every rational & disciplined person should set and aim to achieve.
Yes, looking lean or slim may worry some that may not be used with a person's new looks, BUT it is all ok.
Obesity has never been a badge of honor!
So dear friends sending me messages of "quick recovery"( and especially those of you doing so out of love, not mockery), please take heart , I am not sick. My new looks are intentional.
Its well with me & I thank God for all his blessings and mostly the gift of life!
Otherwise,Greetings from NALI, our Political MECCA!

GHANA EXPERIENCE
AWARD NIGHT
I am honored to have received the African Cultural & Eco-Tourism award from AFRI Heritage in Accra Ghana jointly with @akin_adesina the out going President of the African Development Bank (AfDB) .
He is potentially the next President of Nigeria who receives the Lifetime Achievers Award. He will be contesting, his cv and eloquence will see him go through.
In the next photo we are joined by @PMukasa IFC - World Bank Group @IFC_org , Ghana Office and King Ita of Oracle Energy.
In our short discussion, he told me about how he had worked a lot with Makerere University. You could tell he loved his visits to Uganda.
This was bigger than an award for me, God just wanted me in front of that audience, the conversations, the networks. @RebeccaKadagaUG am grateful God used you.
The conversations were like, am building oil storage tankers worth usd 150m here in Ghana and doing this in Nigeria, oh! Today I prayed for a future like that for Ugandans.
These guys are like us, to have a man like Aliko Dangote, means there are many other billionaires or millionaires in the same space.
This can only be made while we are here in the world because heaven has a different purpose, you won’t the change the world from heaven. It’s here, we must change!
King Ita of oracle energy has given an open invitation to both Nigeria and Ghana any day I want to be there. I have invited him to Uganda as well.
We are back. Grateful to God who gives us the strength to do these things. 100% finish for Team Uganda 🇺🇬 at @2OceansMarathon 56km Ultra. Sharing a few moments for now. A full report will come later.
#MWEworks: A Team from @min_waterUg together with Bulambuli and Sironko District Officials and Timesis SRL Consultant Team carried out a 3 day verification exercise to assess the implementation of the EbA Project.

Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga (@RebeccaKadagaUG) Leads Uganda’s Delegation in Ghana as Amos Wekesa (@wekesa_amos) Shines at Afri Heritage Awards
Rt. Hon. Rebecca Kadaga, Uganda’s First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Ministry of East African Community Affairs (@meaca_ug), has arrived in Accra on an official work visit. She was warmly received by officials from the Ugandan Embassy in Nigeria and hosted by Uganda’s Honorary Consul in Ghana, Mrs. Lillian Ricketts-Hagan, who coordinated protocol and hospitality for the delegation.
During her visit, Rt. Hon. Kadaga will deliver a keynote address at the Afri Heritage Awards, a continental platform that celebrates African leadership and cultural excellence. Her remarks are expected to highlight Uganda’s commitment to strengthening East African Community (EAC) integration, with a focus on expanding trade, deepening cultural exchange, and fostering stronger regional partnerships across the continent.
The event also spotlighted Amos Wekesa, a leading figure in Uganda’s tourism sector, whose contribution continues to position Uganda as a top destination for experiential travel and investment.
Kampala Wonder 1
From the historic grounds of the Kabaka's Palace (Lubiri) to the symbolic stretch of the Buganda Royal Mile, Buganda’s legacy lives in every step you take. This isn’t just a road or a palace—it’s a story of power, culture, and resilience woven through time.
Established in 1885 by Kabaka Mwanga II, the palace has witnessed defining moments, including the 1966 attack that reshaped Uganda’s political landscape. Yet, Buganda endured. The Royal Mile, constructed under Kabaka Daudi Chwa II, continues to connect the Kabaka’s residence to Bulange, the kingdom’s parliament—symbolizing unity between leadership and governance.
Today, under Kabaka Ronald Muwenda Mutebi II, these spaces remain powerful cultural landmarks, echoing centuries of tradition while welcoming a new generation to experience their significance.
Walk the mile. Stand at the palace gates. You’re not just visiting—you’re stepping into a living kingdom, where history isn’t behind glass, but alive in every story told.

Before departing Hoima City--a visit to this magnificent, state-of-the-art stadium & an opportunity to try out our rusty sprinting skills on the track
