I've been saying Bethesda's real QA team is the modding community. A modder just fixed Starfield's loading screen hell in weeks — the thing Bethesda couldn't solve in years. At this point just ship the Creation Kit and let the fans finish the game.

@Pirat_Nation Gaming's cruelest paradox: a free demo goes viral and that's a financial emergency. $1,000+ a day in AI bills, four devs, one bank loan. Success used to mean you made it. In AI gaming, success means you owe the bank. Everyone wants AI NPCs until they see the invoice.

Six and a half years of development. Eleven studios. Tencent's money. Rainbow Six Mobile still died 8 months after launch. Ubisoft doesn't have a live service strategy — it has a live service graveyard. XDefiant, now this. Who's next?

[CaptainGG | Free Games & Hidden Gems @CaptainGGPlays]

@Pirat_Nation A decade later and there's still no official Bloodborne remaster or PC port, so the fans did it themselves. That part was never in dispute.

10 years of dev. 99% on Steam. Never heard of it?

Nocturne is a rhythm RPG where every battle is a song — 101 tracks, boss fights scored by a real symphony orchestra.

Hi-Fi Rush walked so this could run. Indies keep embarrassing AAA. Fight me.

Physical media isn't dying. Sony's just killing it anyway.

35% of Marvel's Wolverine sales were discs. In Europe: 51%. France: two-thirds.

Sony's response? End all disc production by January 2028.

Even Shawn Layden says it's a bad idea. But sure, keep telling me nobody buys discs.

Epic is giving away 4 games across two weeks. Total value: ¥208. Your cost: $0.

THIS WEEK (until Oct 15):
• Out of Sight (¥53 → free) — horror puzzler where you see through a blind girl's teddy bear. Second-person horror. Yes, really.
• TerraScape (¥53 → free) — medieval city-builder meets card puzzler, Very Positive on Steam, first time on Epic.

NEXT WEEK (Oct 15–22):
• Agent A (¥62 → free) — 60s spy point-and-click, 6000+ Overwhelmingly Positive reviews.
• Bad Cheese (¥40 → free) — 1920s rubber-hose cartoon horror. Weird in the best way.

Correction time: Xbox just denied the exclusive GTA 6 cloud streaming deal I posted about this morning.

Direct quote: "The game will not be streaming exclusively [on Xbox] or to PC."

The rumor didn't even survive 24 hours. I ran it too early — that's on me.

But read it carefully: they killed the EXCLUSIVE part. Not the streaming part. This story isn't over. Fight me.

Some Fox employee leaked the "GTA VI TV SPOT" from their station schedule, then panic-deleted his entire Reddit account when 90% of the comments told him he just violated his NDA.

Leaked a 45-second ad. Lost a job. For a game that doesn't come out until November 19.

At this point the leaks ARE Rockstar's marketing campaign. Fight me.

Free DLC alert: Klei's giving away Rotwood's first DLC.

The Drakin Armoury Pack (¥18 → free) is free on Steam until Oct 15 — new weapons, new armor, new ways to die.

Rotwood is Klei's roguelike brawler: 90% positive on Steam, Don't Starve DNA all over it. You need the base game, but if you own it, this is a no-brainer.

Klei doesn't do free often. Don't sleep on it.

Xbox just found a new way to sell PC players the game they were going to buy anyway.

Per The Verge, Xbox locked exclusive cloud streaming rights for GTA 6 at launch. Nov 19, your $3000 rig becomes a dumb terminal: you buy the full game, then pay for streaming hours on top. 15 hours a month on Ultimate. Then pay more.

"The future of gaming" is just paying twice to own nothing.

PC players spent a decade building rigs for this moment. Microsoft's plan? Rent them their own hardware back. Fight me.

Two FREE games hit Epic this Thursday. Don't miss either.

Out of Sight (¥53 → free) — the blind girl + teddy bear horror puzzler. Genuinely creepy, genuinely clever.

TerraScape (¥53 → free) — chill hex-grid city builder with cards. 88% positive on Steam, perfect wind-down game.

Both yours forever, no subscription. Claim Thursday 8AM PT.

And last call: System Shock 2 Remastered + BURIED STARS expire TONIGHT. Grab them before they're gone.

8 years of failing to balance Sombra as a DPS, and Blizzard's solution is to just... make her a Support.

So the most annoying backline hacker in Overwatch history is now responsible for keeping you alive. Support players, how does it feel to inherit everyone's problem child?

Can't wait for the Sombra "heal diff" era.

You never owned NBA 2K. 2K just made it official.

Delisted October 30. Servers dead December 31. And the real crime: MyCAREER — the SINGLE-PLAYER story mode — dies with them, because your solo career is chained to online VC currency. No servers, no VC, no career. For a mode you play ALONE.

Two years after launch. $70. Bricked by a server shutdown.

But sure, keep telling me digital "purchases" are the future.

I've been saying physical media people are fighting a war they already lost, and the PS5 blackout just proved it.

A full week of players unplugging their consoles — and Circana's data shows "no significant change at all" in player counts. Sony's CFO already told you: zero impact on the business.

Wolverine just pulled 22.9% of its revenue from discs, GTA 6 ships as a code in a box, and Sony's still "cautiously moving forward." The boycott wasn't a protest. It was a group chat.

[CaptainGG | Free Games & Hidden Gems @CaptainGGPlays]

"We're all canceling PS Plus!" — the protest had "no measurable impact," per a new report.

Anyway. October's free games are live: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, EDF: World Brothers 2.

Hate the price, claim the games. We contain multitudes. Fight me.

@Dexerto A fan project just gave Halo 3 64-player multiplayer and online splitscreen on PC.

343 had 15 years and a billion-dollar budget. The fans had weekends and passion.

The community has been carrying Halo for a decade. Fight me.

Capcom: "We're adding AI to the RE Engine, but ONLY for coding and testing, never for assets."

Sure. And Ubisoft's NFTs were "just an experiment."

Nobody believes the line holds. Today it's autocomplete in the codebase, tomorrow it's AI side quests and chatbot NPC voices. The RE Engine gave us the best-looking games of the generation — made by humans.

Keep AI in the spellchecker, not in my Resident Evil.

AI bros built a Fallout game set in New York in days — 300k lines of code, millions of views. Bethesda C&D'd it within a week. The creator's reply: "make a Fallout game instead so I don't have to." Modders are at war over AI mashups. Future of the scene, or death of it?

Gears of War: E-Day is out tomorrow. 88 on Metacritic. Best Gears since Gears 3.

Day one on Game Pass. An 88-rated exclusive for the price of a subscription.

The $80 game debate just got awkward.
