Madame Celeste Amarilla,
😃… It's fun until the 80 patients sitting outside start making noise that “Doctor Wei de3 w)ky3 dodo.”
The ideal is to have enough time to talk and explain things to your patients…
I mean every detail.
But on a typical 8-hour shift with 120 patients waiting for you at the OPD…
That is like 4 minutes per patient.
Proper History alone needs 10 mins.
I disagree with the statement by the NDC MP saying, ‘If you are tired of the job, resign.’ – Dr. Ezekiel Agyekum-Obeng, communications team member, NPP

You didn’t finish reading the memo on your right. The HEFRA registrar went further to state that in primary, secondary and tertiary labs, the leader can be EITHER a LABORATORY MEDICINE SPECIALIST or a Licensed BIOMEDICAL SCIENTIST.
He also stated that the Headship of the Laboratory in those facilities are to be determined by the facilities’ Leadership.
Instead of doctors and health workers sewing their lab coats and scrubs together to make one big mat for the patients to lie on, they are asking for the government to do its job.
How foolish and entitled of them.
The ideal day in medicine without specialists:
9am: perform an EBUS
10am: knee replacement
12pm: admit a patient with acute hyponatremia
1pm: cardiac cath on a STEMI → triple vessel disease → convert to CABG
3pm: read a blood film for schistocytes
5pm: deliver a baby
Health worker emigration has been a bane since the 70s, two critical causes of it are conditions of service and wages. No sweet talk and sacrifice will end it, pay them good wages, provide better working conditions, and they will stay.
Dear old people, waking up at 6am, tending to a garden, eating dinner at 5pm, reading books, and going to bed at 9:30pm feels amazing.
I was wrong. You were right.
