@nurtureprincess Such a shame so many passionate, dedicated & brilliant teachers are leaving or wanting to leave the profession. I’m angry that education has become the story of @NewbieSlt. @NewbieSlt is much less funny than reality... that’s no criticism of the posts (I REALLY wish it was).
@nurtureprincess So sad but I understand where you are coming from. I taught 11-18 yo maths for 16 years but the likes of @NewbieSlt (BTW I love your posts) eventually wore me down. 65 hours a week was never enough for them. No matter how much you do, it’s never enough.
Hi all,
Just to let you know that Y11 data is due in at 3pm on Monday. You need to enter the following:
Current grade
Estimated grade
Target grade
Residual grade based on shoe size
Grade they’d get if they‘d done the work
Grade they’d get if they‘d had a good teacher
Thanks x
The reversal of some of the Beeching National Railway cuts is indeed good news and raises questions about what other stupendously crazy political policies need to be reversed e.g. Brexit.
@BBCSport Thank you so much for re-running the (TMS broadcast) 3rd Ashes Test Match commentary from Headingley. Listened to ball by ball commentary & loved every minute (again). Resisted watching Sky’s TV coverage today, staying faithful to radio, which was absolutely brilliant.
Is anyone else suffering from “No Internet” issues with @virginmedia in the Preston area (PR1)? Disappeared about 30 minutes ago. VM service status web page is also down. Coincidence?
Liam Fox promised 40 free trade deals as soon as the UK left the EU.
Perhaps he would care to list them now:

@RogerJ_01 Credit to you. Two fantastic stories; Cannabis farm in a police station followed by Mr. Whippy feuding with Mr. Creamy and not a hint of a smile. Brilliant.
Very sad to hear the news about #JeremyHardy. Always so entertaining. A highlight of my week for a long time has been listening to JH’s opener on FNC. Thank you.
@NortonOnline won’t allow me to open @adobe#Acrobat DC reader “Norton has blocked an exploit attack” Sig ID 61010. Running latest version of DC (011.20063) on W10. Any ideas anyone?
