Back when Ben Roethlisberger was quarterbacking these Steelers teams, I used to be crushed by losses. Especially in big games. I always felt that when we had 7 out there, we had a chance in every single game no matter where or who we played. Since he’s been gone, every playoff/big game loss hurts less and less. When the same trend continues you just start to expect the same results every single time.

The crazy part about last night? I haven’t seen a single soul defending Tomlin. Omar Khan. Art Rooney. I don’t see it anywhere. Every single NFL season that passes it feels like more and more people are starting to open their eyes to the incompetence of the Pittsburgh Steelers. This isn’t the same franchise I grew up watching. The Steeler way may now be dead, if it wasn’t already before. I don’t see it coming back for a long time.

Sorry for the rant but I’m sure a good amount of people can relate to these words. We deserve better.

James Franklin walked into a dumpster fire and brought the program back to relevancy faster than anyone thought possible. He had us a consistent winner and put Penn State back on the map, and for that he’ll always have my respect and appreciation.
