It’s been a great ride writing for @CityWeekly. So long, and thanks for all the eats.

Park City's Alpine Distilling has gone from a Utah startup to serving its award-winning gin at the Queen's Jubilee and landing at Wolfgang Puck restaurants. @CaptainSpringer toured the distillery—and left a gin fan.

“Tales from the Crypt” gets pretty ambitious in season 3. There are a few whiffs, but this is an excellent grab bag of body horror, period pieces, and silly soap opera parodies. #horror #substack

Rewatching “Carrie” and this occurred to me:

I have a theory about how Reno (Lance Henriksen) and Sam (Kevin Tighe) from the “Tales from the Crypt” episode “Cutting Cards” are actually in love with one another, but the bisexual lighting on their faces in this pic pretty much confirms it.

Digging back into the vault of fear for season 2 of "Tales from the Crypt." It's a fine example of how crazy the pulpy, cable horror TV show could get. #horror #talesfromthecrypt

1 part mead, 3 parts maibock, chased by a shot of Underberg. That tastes like paganism. @therealjoebob #walpurgisnacht

@FreddyInSpace As I am reading the discourse about this movie, it’s becoming more clear that people care more about the letter of the law than the spirit of the law.

[Alex Springer @CaptainSpringer]

These days, you gotta smuggle your original ideas to the audience in an existing IP, so I am kinda hoping that this film uses the title and setting from the video games to tell a completely original story. The online furor would be a nice lil’ cherry on top. #residentevil

The first trailer for Zach Cregger's ‘RESIDENT EVIL’ has been released.

In theaters on September 18.

I think #Maxxxine should have been a villain origin story for Maxine in the same way “Pearl” was a villain origin story for Pearl. I like the idea of Maxine and an equally determined—and kinda psychotic—up and coming actress out-crazy-ing each other for a role in The Puritan 2
