How do you stay married to someone that wants nothing to do with you in person, refuses to talk about any issues they have and gas lights when people get tired of their shit?
My wife won’t let me see my kid this weekend and is riding him around Kiawah island on a bike without a helmet. He’s 2 years old??? And she says I’m a shit parent???
I’d love to plan my wife’s 30th birthday party out for her, but her friends say I’m a shit husband and won’t even let me try to plan anything😂😂😂😂 #NewberryKDs
Some of y’all hoes need a reality check🗣️🗣️ If I add you just know you got 36 hours to follow back. I know I’m not influencing but I ain’t tryna be your fan either🥴
If you worked at Goldman Sachs, there would be an expectation — unstated but absolute — that you read the Financial Times before client meetings.
That you have an informed opinion about macroeconomic conditions and how they affect your client's sector.
That you show up to every conversation already knowing things the client hasn't told you.
Nobody at Goldman sends a junior analyst into a pitch who hasn't done two hours of prep on the target company.
Nobody at McKinsey presents a recommendation without first developing a point of view based on data the client didn't hand them.
That standard exists because the fees justify it.
And the fees justify it because the standard produces outcomes that cheaper alternatives can't.
Here's the thing: you can adopt that standard right now, regardless of what you charge or who you work with.
Nothing is stopping you from doing the research.
Nothing is stopping you from forming a genuine thesis.
Nothing is stopping you from showing up to every single call having already done work that most of your competitors won't do in the entire engagement.
The difference between a $5K/month operator and a $25K/month operator is mostly not skill. It's this standard applied consistently.
What does consistent application look like?
You invest in your environment because your environment signals your standard.
The background on your Zoom calls, the quality of your camera, how you're dressed.
These aren't vanity — they're signals.
They tell the prospect, before you've said a word, whether you take yourself seriously.
And whether you take yourself seriously tells them whether to take you seriously.
You develop opinions in public.
Not just content — actual positions.
Opinions create status delta.
Opinions attract the clients who want to work with someone who has a point of view, not just a service menu.
You read. Not self-help. Not money Twitter. The industries your clients are in.
The macro forces shaping their decisions.
The regulatory changes, the market consolidations, the competitor moves that are creating urgency or anxiety in their boardrooms right now.
That's the professional standard. And it's available to you today.
You think you know women? no, you don’t.
there was a girl i was friends with at the gym. we worked out together with a few other guys.
nothing romantic. just gym buddies.
one day she asked:
“nathan, when are you going to ask for my number?”
i replied laughing:
“when are you going to give me your number without me asking?”
with a serious face, she said:
“well, the other guys here have all asked for my number.”
i replied:
“i’m not the other guys.”
next session she turned cold. then she started avoiding me completely. even the other guys noticed.
this went on until she eventually left the gym.
one morning i woke up to a whatsapp message from her:
“i’m not mad at you. i just felt unwanted by the way you responded when i asked why you hadn’t asked for my number.”
i replied with just:
“ok…”
boom. she blocked me, till today.
turns out being ‘not the other guys’ was exactly the problem.
Longgg read that’s not very pretty but highly recommend for guys my age. I prolly agree with 85% of what they say. Going from working 30 hours a week with a company truck to 45 hours in a plant was the best thing that ever happened to me
@thepioneerwoman ever since my wife got the signed copy of your book she doesn’t cook a “pioneer woman” recipe she cooks “Ree’s way”🤌🏼. Took me a week to figure out who Ree was😂
