Hi all! I’m looking for First Aid training equipment to help with delivery at with my local army cadet units. If anyone has any thing they are selling or even ideas on things to make?
We have rescued four people trapped on the roof of a vehicle in Trowell.
✋ Please do not drive through flood water. You put your life at risk and the firefighters who will have to rescue you.
⚠️ We advise you do not travel unless necessary.
Due to high demand into the police control room as a result of Storm Babet, members of the public are asked to only call police in the event of immediate threat to life emergencies. 1/2
When you call 999, your call is graded.
I - Immediate Response - 15 Minutes
S - Significant Response - 1 Hour
E - Extended Response - 24 Hours
If a suspect is still on scene, there is a threat to life or damage to property is imminent, it’ll most likely be an Immediate Response. If you’ve been assaulted and the suspect has left or is no longer nearby, or if your house has been broken into but the suspect has left it’ll be a significant response. If you come home and there’s graffiti on your wall, it’ll most likely get an extended response. These are just examples and not exclusively the rule, depending on vulnerability of the victim and other factors. 👀
So for example yesterday we paraded eight response capable vehicles (bear in mind most Police Officers are *not* blue light trained) and five non response vehicles. Late afternoon all of our units were all on scene at emergencies and there was one immediate response call outstanding and over 30 significant response calls outstanding. I took the last immediate response call, because I had been out to supervise a sudden death, but this is an entirely normal scenario pretty much everyday. 🤷🏼♂️
Call volume out weighs demand. We do not have enough Cops on Response Teams to meet the demand. 😞
It’s that simple. 👀
My previous response team and my current response team and the teams all over London work as hard as they can every shift to get to as many calls as possible every day. But they can’t rush what they deal with at each call. 💯
That’s why there’s delays getting to significant response calls. 🤷🏼♂️ #ThinBlueLine 🚨
@clivebush3645 @StuLittle1972 I’ve used one a lot in arb work, and foul weather, still very nice and clean. No scratches, very good pieces of equipment
