This lady was at home with her 5 year old son, and pregnant, when Jason Nichols successfully broke into her home during the daytime.

He took one of their patio chairs and smashed the glass of a sliding door.

The only details provided, is he sustained head injuries after a physical confrontation with the homeowner.

He was arrested for aggravated burglary, threatening to k1ll occupants, and annoying or m0lesting a child.

His bail was set at $35,000.

He ended up taking a plea, and was sentenced to 5 years in prison.... Not enough in my opinion.

Day 4 report: Karmelo Anthony Trial - June 4th, 2026 - Part 2. My reporting from the courtroom - A 🧵

The state called Tiffany Whitaker, an athletic trainer at Memorial High School. She said that her job was to prevent athletic injury. She stated that she was at every event. She has received extensive medical training, and is CPR certified. She said that she knew both boys.

She stated that there was a rule about the tent. It is like a locker room. It’s a Team safe space.

She stated that the weather was cloudy and windy. She stated that around 10 AM. She was set up with medical equipment at the Andrews building. She stated that she saw Austin around 930 AM and he gave her a hug.

She said that she saw a commotion and heard screaming. She ran onto the track to see what was going on.

She said that a student she knew said “Him! He stabbed him and threw the knife!” The student then pointed at Karmelo.

She said that she then stopped right in front of Karmelo and put her arms out to stop him. She then got Coach Hooper’s attention with Heritage High School.

She said Hooper then turned towards Karmelo and said “you stabbed someone son?”

She then moved on to find the person who was stabbed. She did not know who it was yet.

She arrived to the tent and saw multiple people were already helping Austin. She grabbed his wrist to check for a pulse. She gave rescue breaths while the coach with liberty high school was giving compressions.

- with their network, you won't own your money

if the bank fails or faces a run, you lose your tokens (just how you would with your fiat). the main beauty of crypto is that you hold your private keys so you are fully in control of your own money (no one can freeze it).

- it's a permissioned, closed network

access to their network still requires the banks' permission. unlike public blockchains, which are permissionless and let anyone participate.

- run by the banks who've been campaigning against crypto

their network will be run by The Clearing House (payments company owned by JP Morgan, Citi, BofA and other big banks). do you really think they have the consumers' best interests at heart?

- no privacy or transparency

the beauty of crypto is that you can make transactions without a middleman and no one can freeze your funds. however, every transaction on the banks' network will be subject to their oversight and must fall within their KYC / AML processes. this means governments and banks can still freeze your funds for whatever reason they want.

- designed to keep the banks in full control

they want a system that will let them keep their fees and revenue model. stablecoins threaten to pull billions in deposits away from banks - this is their last ditch attempt to stop that.

- limits defi innovation

by controlling their own permissioned blockchain, banks prevent users from using other blockchain protocols that could allow them to get higher yields etc (one of the main attractions of defi for many users).
