The ad was bad, but I think this goes a bit deeper than that. Two camps are putting fuel on the fire. 1. Female golfers, are rightfully upset at the ad. 2. Traditionalists are also using this to send a message to YouTube golfers that they aren’t really needed.
Two things can be true:
1. They made a terrible ad and depicting violence against women is really bad and off limits.
2. The reaction is going way too far for a first offense. To my knowledge they had zero prior big controversies. They’ve taken their lumps, let’s move on.

@therealmcnair I love the ability to choose. You can choose your path in almost every facet of your life in America. I can’t stop someone from choosing to be bad birdie wearing covid golfer, but I can choose to be better than that. Freedom of choice is what makes this country interesting.
