Considering Sex Matters keeps trying to pass itself off as a women's group, they have a LOT of men on their advisory group and board.
Could they not have found women for those positions?
Surely a 'feminist org" would make an effort to give opportunities to women? 🤔
James Esses presents himself as a therapist, but he is not a qualified therapist. He was dismissed from Childline following safeguarding breaches, yet continues to position himself as an authority on young people & trans healthcare despite having no qualifications or expertise.
@HannahMatha@Glinner How can anyone engage when any difference of opinion brings out the absolute dregs, people women need protected from, into the debate? Until the GC movement distance themselves from the far right, no one can have a sensible, safe or honest debate on this issue
@pilgrim1889@FeileBelfast@AllisonMorris1 I had to take a break from my therapy work with trans clients because I had burned out from it. It was just awful how much pain they were in, and that I was so useless to do anything to help them.
In the aftermath of the last few days regarding NIWRN, Sex Matters, @FeileBelfast and @AllisonMorris1 I wrote an opinion piece about the GC/Transphobic movement and their real aims - that cruelty is the point.

In short, the court ruled @SexMattersOrg arguments are based on mere assumption, unsupported common sense, straw arguments, fallacious question begging, & a # of hypotheticals & unsupported counterfactuals rather than established fact. Essentially, they’re based on a lot of ifs.
WRN sued Féile to obtain a court order forcing the festival to reinstate their event. They did not get that. The cancellation stood, and Féile was not compelled to host them.
To settle the case, WRN signed undertakings (legal promises) that heavily favored Féile.
They lost.
