@blkcatgirlsplz Gege did plant the seeds of their relationship in JJK 0. You can absolutely argue that you wanted more development or more explicit confirmation, but saying the author “chose” a pairing without actually building toward it is just ignoring what’s already on the page/in the movie.

It is defending the correct reading of something Gege himself said, not something he never actually said.

Gojo is still very much a little shit and by no means perfect. That is what makes him such an interesting character.

Gege literally used the word “seijitsu” (誠実) to say that he can't see Gojo being seijitsu towards a woman. People often translate it as “faithful,” and it completely misses the mark.

@satorvluvr The word seijitsu carries a much broader meaning of sincerity, honesty, and integrity, which basically could mean he can’t see Gojo simply opening his heart or being emotionally present in a relationship. Which, given how he’s constantly playing a role, is so fucking spot on.
